SURGICAL SERVICES
A collection of the services we provide always striving to offer teh latest minimally invasive techniques.
REFLUX CORRECTION SURGERY

Reflux surgery, also known as anti-reflux surgery, is a procedure designed to treat esophageal reflux disease (GERD). It involves repairing the lower esophageal sphincter to prevent stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus. This surgery can help alleviate symptoms like heartburn and regurgitation, improving the quality of life for those affected by chronic reflux issues. It's typically recommended when lifestyle changes and medications have not provided sufficient relief.
GALLBLADDER SURGERY

Gallbladder surgery, also known as a cholecystectomy, is a procedure performed to remove the gallbladder when it causes pain, inflammation, gallstones, infection, or other digestive symptoms. The surgery is most commonly performed using minimally invasive laparoscopic or robotic techniques, allowing for smaller incisions, less discomfort, and a faster recovery. Most patients return home the same day and experience significant relief from gallbladder-related symptoms. Our practice provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of gallbladder disease with a focus on safe, effective, and patient-centered care. READ MORE
HERNIA SURGERY

Hernia surgery is a procedure performed to repair a weakness or opening in the muscle or connective tissue of the abdominal wall that allows tissue or organs to protrude outward. Hernias commonly occur in the groin, belly button, or abdominal wall and may cause a visible bulge, discomfort, pressure, or pain, especially during lifting, coughing, or physical activity.
Depending on the type and size of the hernia, repair may be performed using open, laparoscopic, or robotic techniques. Many modern hernia repairs are minimally invasive, resulting in smaller incisions, less postoperative discomfort, and a faster recovery. The goal of surgery is to relieve symptoms, restore the strength of the abdominal wall, prevent complications, and reduce the risk of recurrence. Our practice specializes in the treatment of inguinal, umbilical, ventral, incisional, recurrent, and complex hernias using individualized treatment plans designed to achieve the safest and most durable repair possible.
THYROID AND PARATHYROID SURGERY

Thyroid and parathyroid surgery involves the treatment of conditions affecting the thyroid gland and the parathyroid glands, which are located in the front of the neck. These glands play essential roles in regulating metabolism, energy levels, calcium balance, bone health, and overall body function.
Thyroid surgery may be recommended for thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, enlarged thyroid glands (goiters), suspicious biopsy findings, hyperthyroidism, or symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, neck pressure, or voice changes. Depending on the condition, surgery may involve removal of part or all of the thyroid gland.
Parathyroid surgery is most commonly performed to treat hyperparathyroidism, a condition in which one or more parathyroid glands become overactive and produce excessive amounts of parathyroid hormone. This can lead to elevated calcium levels, kidney stones, osteoporosis, fatigue, muscle weakness, memory difficulties, and other symptoms. Surgery involves removing the abnormal gland or glands to restore normal calcium balance.
Most thyroid and parathyroid procedures are performed under general anesthesia through a small incision in the lower neck. Our practice utilizes modern surgical techniques to provide safe, effective treatment while focusing on excellent outcomes, preservation of normal gland and nerve function, and a smooth recovery. We work closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans based on their symptoms, laboratory findings, imaging studies, and overall health.
VASCULAR ACCESS

A Port-a-Cath, also known as an implanted venous access port, is a small medical device placed beneath the skin that provides reliable long-term access to the bloodstream. These devices are commonly used for patients who require chemotherapy, immunotherapy, long-term intravenous medications, frequent blood draws, nutritional support, or other treatments that require repeated venous access.
The port consists of a small reservoir placed under the skin, usually in the upper chest, connected to a catheter that is inserted into a large central vein. Once healed, the device is entirely beneath the skin and can be accessed with a specialized needle when needed for treatment.
Port placement is typically performed as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. The procedure usually takes less than an hour, and most patients return home the same day. Compared with repeated IV placements, a Port-a-Cath provides a more comfortable, reliable, and durable solution for long-term treatment.
Our practice performs vascular access procedures with a focus on safety, precision, and patient comfort. We work closely with oncologists, infusion centers, and other specialists to ensure timely placement and optimal function of these devices so patients can begin or continue treatment without delay.
